4-axis vertical articulated OVR4048K5-V/OVR4068K5-V/OVR4088K5-V

This robot arm has a parallel link mechanism.
It can transport parts stably while keeping them horizontal at all times.
Three types are available with maximum horizontal reach lengths of 480mm, 680mm, and 880mm.
The motor and arm are designed to be easily replaced, allowing customers to maintain the robot themselves.
The mounting flange is ISO9409 compliant. Various end effectors can be attached.

  • Stable horizontal transport with parallel link mechanism

A robot arm with a parallel link mechanism has a driving link and a driven link, and when the driving link moves, the driven link performs the same movement. It
has the characteristic that when it moves, it always forms a parallelogram, and the angle between the opposing links is maintained.
Examples of this mechanism are windshield wipers, handheld hands, and pantographs.
The tip of a robot arm using this mechanism can always be mechanically kept horizontal with the installation surface, allowing for stable horizontal transport. Another feature is
that the motors that drive the two arms are located underneath, reducing the weight of the joints and increasing the payload capacity.

| System Configuration

Robot controllers, drivers, and cables

other than the robot arm and motor are to be ordered separately. Robots can be easily controlled using the robot controller MRC01 and the programming software MRC Studio. The recommended drivers to connect to the MRC01 are the DC power input type compact driver AZD-KD or the mini driver AZD-KR2D.

The MRCU series robot controller unit, which combines the MRC01 and AZD-KR2D in one package, is also available.This allows for quick startup and a simple wiring design.

This is the MRC01 robot controller that can control robots equipped with the AZ series .

We also offer a control unit that integrates the MRC01 and driver.
This lowers the hurdles to control when introducing robots and helps shorten start-up time.

Note: Please consider safety when using this product as an industrial robot. (This product cannot be used as a collaborative robot.)

| Wrist flip axis option

For environmental protection against water and oil. We have prepared a "robot cover" that expands the scope of use of robots. You can choose according to the purpose, such as splashes of water or oil, sparks (spatter) from welding processes, and low dust generation that does not affect clean rooms.

Because the link mechanism keeps the arm tip always facing downwards, pick-and-place can only be performed with 4-axis control. However,
there are many cases where it is difficult to use without the wrist flip element. The "Wrist Flip Axis Option" is a tool that solves this problem. The drive source is the DC24V AZ Series and Harmonic Drive®. Lift the motor hand 90 degrees to grab a workpiece from a shelf and place it in a packing box, or pick up the workpiece and take a picture of the back before packing it.
